No medical treatment

is the perfect solution for every patient!

And, not all traditional medical treatments work for every patient!

This is one of the core beliefs with holistic medical care, which is designed to look at the individual to determine what treatment options might work best. The list below has been assembled to give you a better idea of how holistic medicine can help you to become healthier and to stay healthier in the long run.

Take some time to consider how you can integrate holistic medical care into your life.

Holistic medicine is no longer a taboo practice that people do in secret.  Rather, today’s holistic practitioners are proud to be able to offer their patients a wide variety of treatment options that help to develop the mind, body and spirit.  Many conventional physicians are willing to help patients integrate alternative treatment options into their standard medical treatments.  If you are considering taking a holistic approach to your health, as your doctor for a recommendation or get started by looking through your local phone book.

We all want to maintain a healthy body, so that we may enjoy life to its fullest. With holistic medicine, you have the opportunity to change your life in a positive way beginning with the first time you speak to a practitioner.

If there is one thing that can be said about holistic medicine, it is that the premise is the individual patient.  Because holistic medical care incorporates the individual’s specific needs and concerns it tends to be a much more effective approach to medical care.  Certainly, it can also be integrated well with conventional medical treatment plans.  While you may not be comfortable with all alternative treatment options, there is definitely a lot of possibility for improving your life one step at a time when you open your mind to the idea of holistic care.

Whether you are looking for an alternative medical treatment for a specific medical condition, or you are looking to improve you health overall, there is definitely something for everyone with holistic medicine.

While some would view the holistic approach to treating illness and disease contrary to the wisdom of conventional medicine, quite the opposite is true in most cases. In fact, most conventional physicians view a patient with a desire to work to improve their overall health as refreshing.

A majority of holistic medical approaches can complement traditional treatments.

Do you suffer from a chronic health problem, but you just can’t seem to find a treatment that works? You might be a good candidate for holistic medical care.

  • Holistic care means focusing not only on a specific sign or symptom, but working to treat the mind, body and spirit of any patient who is willing to seek answers for what ails them. Most holistic treatment options are based on nature, and include few chemicals that are foreign to the human body. Here are some ways that you can begin to integrate holistic medicine into your life...
  • Holistic care treats the whole person, rather than just specific areas of the body. The primary difference between holistic care and conventional medicine is that holistic practitioners try to use naturally occurring substances to treat illnesses and disease instead of manufactured chemicals. Additionally, there is a focus on alternative therapies including chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage and even psychotherapy when appropriate.

Learn the ancient and secret tantric practices for improved health and better sexual performance! Learn these secrets in the privacy of your home through this book to pamper your body, mind, and spirit.

Kundalini Yoga actually belongs to Tantrik Sadhana. Mother Divine, the active aspect of the Existence-Knowledge-Bliss Absolute, resides in the body of men and women in the form of Kundalini, and the entire Tantrik Sadhana aims at awakening Her, and making Her to unite with the Lord, Sadasiva, in the Sahasrara, as described in the beginning in detail. Methods adopted to achieve this end in Tantrik Sadhana are Japa of the name of the Mother, prayer and various rituals.

Tantra Chakras, or wheels of life, are energy centers located along the spine in the etheric body. Each chakra is related to a corresponding endocrine gland. A healthy chakra should be spinning rapidly with each chakra moving the next one along. A weak chakra spins very little, if at all, and can therefore slow down the spinning of the subsequent chakras. When any chakra is halted or slowed down, illness sets in because the flow of energy is impeded. Active, healthy chakras not only stimulate our physical being, but they also keep us healthy and balanced emotionally and mentally.

Kundalini, sometimes called life force, ki, chi, prana, energy, shakti, is represented as a sleeping serpent coiled three and a half times at the base of the spine. It remains dormant until awakened. We can safely awaken her by energizing our bodies through our exercises and movements, (such as hatha yoga, meditation, tantric union) and we must be prepared to handle the energy that will begin to flow through our bodies as we progress.

To enhance and stimulate activity of these seven chakras, we highly recommend that quality essential oils be anointed at the plexii, during massage and lovemaking. This is the absolutely most sublime experience that our experience has shown us to be an integral component in tantric practices.

The first chakra, prostate gland in men, and near the cervix for women, is called the Muladhara. Application of the essential oils to the area of this chakra will assist us in releasing some of our negativity and dramas. The energy here is of the earth element. This chakra rules the physical body. The associations in this chakra have to do with survival, possessions, early life, the "tribe", meaning family, church, teachers and others who influenced us as a child, molded and made us conform to the rules and traditions of acceptable behavior, the status quo.

We store all our traumas, and samskaras (early impressions from this or any lifetime) in this chakra. Most of mankind live in this chakra throughout their lives. It is only when the kundalini is awakened that we begin our ascent to the higher chakras.

The second chakra, or Swadhistan, the water element, is located in the testes or ovaries in the area just below the navel. We store our emotions here, conscious or unconscious memories from this lifetime or past lives.

This reproductive center benefits from application of an essential oil around the lower abdomen.

The third chakra is the Manipur, which is located at the navel. Our vitality, our willpower, our perseverance, our power, and strength is fortified by rubbing the corresponding oils around our navel area.

The fourth chakra, located near the heart, is called the Anahat, and the element is Air. The gentle aroma applied around the heart brings us in harmony through the association of love and marriage...marriage not only between man and woman, but the marriage of the Yin/Yang energies within ourselves. The experience here is of compassion, surrender, and devotion.
The fifth chakra is located at the throat and the neck. Called the Visshuda, this chakra rules communication, self-expression, hearing and listening to the inner voice. The element is ether, from which all elements came. Clairaudience sets in here. This is the hardest chakra to break through and applying the appropriate oil in this are will serve to "open" the door. At the location of the medulla, where the skull meets he spine, great pressure is felt, as “guards” prevent the opening to the next chakra until the aspirant is ready. These “guards” will not open up this chakra until they feel it is safe to let us continue on to the next chakra.

And that chakra is called Ajna, the Third Eye, located between the brows. Ajna has to do with inner vision, intuition, seeing beyond eyes sight. This chakra is related to the pituitary gland, which regulates the endocrine and hormonal glands. An essential oil can assist in opening this chakra developing our psychic awareness and clairvoyance.
We may experience all sort of phenomena as these chakras open. Please consult a physician before embarking on any form of chakra practice.

Thai Massage - Origins, Techniques and Benefits

Thai massage is very popular as a form of therapy and relaxation.

Thai massage has been practiced for several thousand years. It is one branch of Thai medicine, which includes manipulation (of which massage is a part), diet, medicinal treatment and ritual (spiritual ceremony).

Thai massage is based on the belief that all disease is due to an imbalance of the body's energy. Its goal is to promote this balance and therefore assist in the healing of the entire person.

The benefits of Thai massage include those of regular massage, like improved circulation, mobility and flexibility, as well as stress relief. But Thai massage goes further; its more specialized techniques will help promote balance of all the body's systems. If you are looking for a more holistic approach to bodywork, Thai massage may be a good choice.

Reiki

Reiki translates in Japanese as “Universal life force” (Rei) and “energy” (Ki). The energy  referred to is the energy that surrounds us in our lives.

Reiki works by using the surrounding energy to heal your mind and body. By so doing, you can remove energies in your body that are causing sickness, metal or physical. Eventually, after a longer period of Reiki training, you will gain the ability to use the techniques you learn to stay healthy and to exchange energy.

The way that Reiki does this is to allow the body to heal itself by changing its energy flow.  It is particularly useful in relieving symptoms of pain and stress, and alleviating other symptoms in various parts of the body that appear to be unhealthy. Reiki is able to help with physical, emotional and mental well being at the same time. By increasing energy levels it can also promote the mind to be more creative.

The techniques used in Reiki range from meditation to whole body techniques.

"Are You Curious About The Healing Power Of Aromatherapy But Not Convinced It Really Works?"

Aromatherapy can be extremely useful in helping heal complicated emotional and medical problems. It can help promote a positive emotional state of being and has been proven to help deal with problems ranging from grief and anger issues to asthma, migraines and even chicken pox.

Aromatherapy is an effective healer due to the essential oils that are used in the treatment. The essential oils mesh naturally, which causes their molecules to create a synergy that is easily inhaled. This process allows the treatment to be absorbed into the body quickly, making aromatherapy work faster that most modern medicinal treatments. The molecules released through aromatherapy will stimulate and affect portions of your brain. The triggers that it provides to the brain can produce emotions, can mask other types of emotions and can calm the body to allow additional treatments to work.

Most people don't realize it, but doubt, fear and anxiety can all work against their body's natural attempt to heal itself. These harmful emotions can block pharmaceutical cures as well. Aromatherapy acts to calm the body and allow medicine to heal.

Aromatherapy is a form of therapy that is meant to you relax and to reduce stress.

Western medicine has long understood the counter-effect that stress has on any type of treatment regimen. Aromatherapy is practiced using essential oils and volatile plant oils to create psychological and physical sensations. It usually requires scented compounds created through volatile plant materials, essential oils, or similar herbal products and it is used as a form of alternative medicine in conjunction with other forms of treatment for positively affecting a person's health or mood.

If you are struggling with symptoms and don't believe in the medicinal power of aroma, then you are doing yourself and your health a disservice. People have been using aromatherapy for thousands of years to treat all types of different conditions. Are you willing to put your life at greater risk rather than try it for yourself?

Unlike acupuncture, chiropractice and other forms of alternative medicine, aromatherapy doesn't require a professional to administer the treatment. You can buy the essential oils and perform the treatment from the comfort of your own home. It is inexpensive and easy to do. It is one of the few effective remedies that you can do by yourself, without expensive doctor bills.

Learn how to help your body heal itself and just make sure that you are cynical about its effectiveness, that your health doesn't suffer.

Aromatherapy has become a very popular treatment method in much of the modern Western world. It has become particularly popular and effective in areas where modern medicine has yet to find its own cure. Aromatherapy is recommended by doctors of all skill levels and backgrounds and is looked upon by the medical community as useful.

Despite all the evidence, there are still people who believe that aromatherapy is similar to voodoo and has no place in the new millennium. I hope you are not one of these people, but if you are, then this is a book you need to read.

Aromatherapy For Cynics will teach you everything you need to know about the dozens of different types of aromatic products available. It will teach you exactly which products you need and which products you should avoid. HEALING YOURSELF

Advanced Hypnosis for Newbies

Like many things that have become popularized by celebrity, there are a few misconceptions about self hypnosis that are good to clear up at the start. Before we look at what self hypnosis IS, let’s look at what it is NOT

Self hypnosis doesn’t mean you are allowing someone to control your mind with a soundtrack. No one is able to control our minds. What it does do is help us solve our own problems and answer our own questions. Trust your own strength and power and know your mind isn’t going to let just anyone take over!

Hypnosis isn’t sleeping. While you move in and out of a hypnotic state as you fall asleep or wake up, hypnosis is that time between wakefulness and sleeping. That lovely relaxed state that drifts you between conscious and unconscious thought. You may sometimes fall asleep during or after a meditation, but that is because you relax. Falling asleep during hypnosis often indicates the level of stress you are under - that you are having trouble relaxing on a long term basis, and the hypnosis-induced sleep is simply your body telling you that you are sleep-deprived and need to catch-up on sleep.

Self hypnosis can and will help you conquer the mountains standing between you and your goals. All you need to do is start.

Herbal Remedy Secret Uncovered

Usually, herbal remedies are milder than traditional medicines and have fewer side effects, and most are very safe if used as directed. The body can build up a resistance to some medications, such as antibiotics, when they are used too much. Herbal cures are helpful when treating illnesses that are not too serious. There are many ways to use herbs as effective treatments.

Topical herbal remedies are available in several forms. These are forms used for external use.

  • Salve - Salves are healing preparations that are applied to the skin. They are generally thick creams that last a long time on the skin, helping to keep moisture in. Salves have protective qualities that shield the skin from harsh effects of sun and wind. Popular salves are those made with calendula, St. John’s wort and comfrey.
  • Poultice - A poultice is a traditional preparation of fresh or dried whole herbs. The herbs are mashed into a pasty consistency and applied topically to the affected area. Herbs can be moistened and heated and then applied to the skin. Poultices are the way your great-grandmother would have applied herbs and it’s still a useful method today. A crude method, poultices are great for instant use and can use parts of the plant that aren’t normally used, such as the root and stems.
  • Compress - A compress is similar to a poultice. Fresh or dried herbs are mashed and combined with water to make a paste. The paste is then applied to the skin or put into a small bundle, often in fabric, to be held against the skin.
  • Oils - Infused oils are made by combining herbs with oil, usually extra-virgin olive oil, and heated on a slow heat. The mixture is then steeped for at least two weeks, then strained and put into jars. Oils can be used for skin irritations and is commonly used as massage oil.
  • Ointment - Similar to salves, ointments are thicker in consistency. They are used topically on the skin and are particularly good for minor skin irritations and burns.
  • Ingestible herbal remedies are taken orally. These include various forms.
  • Infusions - Infusions are the most common way that people take herbal remedies. An infusion is a preparation that uses water as a solvent to mix with crude botanicals. The mixture may start out hot or can be a cold mixture. Usually, hot water mixtures infuse the herbs more readily and are therefore made hot and then cooled down for use. The mixture is steeped, rather than boiled. That is, it is let to set in the hot water for a period of time, depending on the type of herbs that are used. Infusions are generally the weakest of the herbal preparations.
  • Decoction - A decoction is similar to an infusion because water is used. However, a decoction uses water to boil the herbs and then squeezes them into a container. That "juice" is more concentrated than an infusion and is twice as potent. In prepared decoctions, alcohol is used as a preservative. Otherwise, the decoction would spoil rapidly. Decoctions are often used as additives in prepared foods or drinks.
  • Tincture - Similar to decoctions, tinctures are prepared by allowing herbs to sit in liquids for long periods of time to solubilize them. Herbs are stored for weeks to months in dark glass containers containing an ingredient that will make them soluble. That may be water, vinegar, alcohol or glycerine. The herbs break down in the liquid and dissolve. The remaining mixture is strained or pressed. Tinctures are often used added to foods or drinks.
  • Syrup - Similar to tinctures, syrups are a thicker liquid. These are most often taken alone as a remedy. Syrups generally have higher concentrations of herbs and care should be taken to follow the directions properly.
  • Tea - There are a number of pre-made herbal teas on the market these days. There are also tea bags that come in a variety of herbal mixtures. These are so common that they are available at any regular supermarket. Tea is actually a form of infusion.
  • Capsules or Tablets - Next to infusions, capsules are the next most common way to take herbs. Supplements are available in tablet form for almost any herb known. These are ingested in the same way you take aspirin. They dissolve in the stomach and get into your body.

When you are choosing herbal products there are some things to keep in mind. First, make sure you understand what you want the product to do. Read the label. Sometimes there are additional ingredients that may be unnecessary for your ailment. Always choose a product that most closely identifies with your disorder.

Palm Healing for Children

Developed in Japan, shiatsu is a finger-pressure technique utilizing the traditional acupuncture points of Oriental healing.

Similar to acupressure, shiatsu concentrates on unblocking the flow of life energy and restoring balance in the meridians and organs in order to promote self-healing. With the client reclining, the practitioner applies pressure with the finger, thumb, palm, elbow, or knee to specific zones on the skin located along the energy meridians.

The treatment brings about a sense of relaxation while stimulating blood and lymphatic flow. The benefits of this treatment may include pain relief and a strengthening of the body’s resistance to disease and disorder.

Magnet Therapy

Magnets are a source of natural energy. Magnet Therapy, through the use of different types of magnets helps maintain balanced energy levels and also increases the curative power of an individual.

Magnet therapy, magnetic therapy, or magnetotherapy is an alternative medicine practice involving the use of static magnetic fields. Practitioners claim that subjecting certain parts of the body to magnetostatic fields produced by permanent magnets has beneficial health effects. Magnet therapy is considered pseudoscientific due to both physical and biological implausibility, as well as a lack of any established effect on health or healing. Although hemoglobin, the blood protein that carries oxygen, is weakly diamagnetic and is repulsed by magnetic fields, the magnets used in magnetic therapy are many orders of magnitude too weak to have any measurable effect on blood flow.

Magnet therapy is the application of the magnetic field of electromagnetic devices or permanent static magnets to the body for purported health benefits. These benefits may be specific, as in the case of wound healing, or more general, as for increased energy and vitality.

THE BEGINNER’S GUIDE

TO YOGA AND MEDITATION

(Healing Music + Ebook)

When one mentions "yoga", many images may be conjured up. Perhaps you get an image of flower children from the 60’s sitting in a circle with their legs in impossible positions chanting "Ohm" around a huge candle in a poorly lit room. Yoga is an ancient art that has been practiced for centuries. Over the years, it has risen in popularity as a way to stay fit, get in touch with one’s inner self, and keep a balance of sanity in a sometimes insane world.

While yoga did come to popularity in the 60’s with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who popularized Transcendental Meditation (TM) in the 60's, because he was associated with the Beatles, yoga practitioners have brought the ancient practice to the forefront of wellness in recent years.

Many scholars believe that yoga dates back over 5,000 years to the beginning of human civilization. Scholars believe that yoga grew out of Stone Age Shamanism, because of the cultural similarities between Modern Hinduism and Mehrgarh, a neolithic settlement (in what is now Afghanistan). In fact, much of Hindu ideas, rituals and symbols of today appear to have their roots in this shamanistic culture of Mehrgahr.

Early Yoga and archaic shamanism had much in common as both sought to transcend the human condition. The primary goal of shamanism was to heal members of the community and act as religious mediators. Archaic Yoga was also community oriented, as it attempted to discern the cosmic order through inner vision, then to apply that order to daily living. Later, Yoga evolved into a more inward experience, and Yogis focused on their individual enlightenment and salvation.

Yoga is the most diversified spiritual practice in the world. Crossing over many cultures (including Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism and the West), Yoga also extends over multiple languages such as Hindi, Tibetan, Bengali, Sanskrit, Tamil, Prakit, Marathi and Pali. The Yogic tradition continues to proliferate and spread its message of peace to this very day.

There are many different places that offer yoga classes – gyms, wellness centers, even the local YMCA. But you don’t have to join a class to practice yoga. It is just as easily done in your home or even at your desk while at work. Yoga can help bring you inner peace when you are stressed out. It can even help relieve the pain of headaches, backaches, and menstrual cramps.

As studies continue to reveal yoga's many health benefits, this centuries-old Eastern philosophy is fast becoming the new fitness soul mate for workout enthusiasts. Contemporary devotees range from high-powered execs trying to keep hearts beating on a healthy note to image-conscious Hollywood stars striving for sleek physiques. Even prominent athletes are adding yoga to their training regime to develop balanced, injury-free muscles and spines.

Yet to applaud yoga for its physical benefits alone would only diminish what this entire system has to offer as a whole. By practicing yoga on a regular basis, you may be surprised to find that you're building much more than a strong, flexible body.

Initially, the sole purpose of practicing yoga was to experience spiritual enlightenment. In Sanskrit (the ancient language of India), yoga translates as "yoke" or "union," describing the integration of mind and body to create a greater connection with one's own pure, essential nature.

Classes that have gained popularity in the United States usually teach one of the many types of hatha yoga, a physical discipline which focuses mainly on asanas (postures) and breath work in order to prepare the body for spiritual pursuits.

We will attempt to simplify the ancient practice of yoga by showing you some basic yoga positions, giving you tips on performing yoga exercises, and inducting meditation practices into your everyday life. Through yoga and meditation, you could come to a new level of enlightenment with your personal life and enhance the quality of your existence.

No longer is yoga a mysterious phenomenon. It is now simply a way to keep you healthy and aligned. Now relax and read on as we explore yoga and meditation.

How To Meditate?
(Healing Music + Ebook)

Have you tried meditation to solve your stress and health problems? If you haven’t done so yet, now may be one of the best times to make that experience a reality. Mediation is one of the most sought after forms of stress relief and is even recommended by many doctors.

Something that valuable is something that you should be striving to learn. If you are someone that spends your evenings worrying, stressing about all that needs to get done and even feeling physically bad without being sick, then meditation may be an ideal solution for you.

In meditation, you transform the way that your mind is working. While you can’t say that it’s a simple process, meditation is something that you can easily learn to do and then use daily.

In fact, studies show that when you do allow yourself (especially your mind) to meditate for just a few minutes each day, you can reduce the stress levels you face improving your quality of life. Indeed, lowering stress levels also can improve your physical self.

In this book, you’ll learn how meditation can change your life. It is merely a guide to get you started, though.

Most individuals that are successful at meditation are those that seek out resources locally to help them to learn the process as well as to practice it. Meditating with others is something that can be powerful to the individual. With more and more meditation clinics and classes popping up around the country, you are likely to find one relatively close to you. But, first, you need to learn a bit more about how meditation works and what it can do for you.

This book will prepare you to begin meditation and take you into a world that far too many people don’t realize exists with such benefits. If you are skeptical, there is nothing to lose by investing a few minutes in learning this process. In fact, you’ll find yourself striving to learn more once you have just one or two sessions of meditation.

Learn to meditate alone or with friends. In either case, you’ll find many different methods to select. More so, you could be improving your health and well being. That’s worth just a few minutes of your time!

Natural Secrets to Healing, Prevention & Longevity (eBook + Audio)

Ayurveda is first and foremost a ‘spiritual science’ - offering scientific insights how live in harmony with nature and to grow toward the realization of one’s true nature or Soul.

Arguably the oldest form of health care, Ayurveda is often referred to as the "Mother of All Healing." Although there has been considerable scientific research done in this area during the last 50 years, the results of that research have not been adequately disseminated. Meeting the need for an authoritative, evidence-based reference, Scientific Basis for Ayurvedic Therapies is the first book to analyze and synthesize current research supporting Ayurvedic medicine.

Ayurveda teaches that vibrant health depends upon our body’s ability to metabolize all aspects of life, assimilating that which nurtures us and eliminating the rest. When our digestive powers are weak, toxins accumulate in our body, contributing to imbalance and, ultimately, illness. Panchakarma is a powerful Ayurvedic treatment that releases physical and emotional toxicity, restoring the body's natural balance and health. Panchakarma was developed thousands of years ago by the ancient healing masters of India. In Sanskrit, panchakarma means "the five actions" (pancha = five, and karma = action), referring to the five cleansing therapies described in the classic Ayurvedic textbooks.

 Valuable Holistic Tips

- Improve your posture.  It is important to keep your spine as straight as possible, so that your muscles do not strain and contract unnecessarily.  Also, in order to keep energy circulating throughout your body, it is important to keep your spine straight and nerves unhindered.
~

- Consider “trigger point massage” for pain relief. If you are plagued by continuous pain and conventional pain medicines are not working to help eliminate it, consider this special type of massage. It will help to not only ease the pain – but to eliminate its source as well.
~

- Try acupuncture. Acupuncture is type of holistic/alternative medicine that has been commonly practiced in the eastern part of the world for thousands of years.  Five thousand years ago, the intention of acupuncture was to prolong life. With many alternative medical techniques, the intention is to prevent rather than to cure a specific or general ailment.  The oldest recorded practice of acupuncture was over 5,000 years ago. Basically, acupuncture is used to stimulate the nerves in the body and as a result positively affect all of the other bodily systems.
~

- Try Reiki healing.  Reiki is a healing art that uses the body’s energy to begin and further the healing process.  It is performed by using one’s hands to follow a specific pattern of massage, in order to stimulate energy movement throughout the body.  There are many Reiki healers who are specially trained to perform the healing massage, or you can read about it or take a class to become a proficient Reiki healer yourself.
~

- Consider a complete body cleansing.  There are many different products on the market today that can help you to eliminate toxins from the body and increase the efficiency and overall health of your body.  A complete cleanse will remove toxins and other harmful matter from your kidneys, liver and intestines.  Generally how they work is you follow a strict dietary regimen for a few weeks while the cleansing process occurs.  Most people who try this agree that it makes them feel healthier and they often report a fair amount of weight loss after the process is complete.
~

- Try to avoid television. Believe it or not, television actually induces negative feelings in most viewers as a result of the commonplace violence and gossip.  Television viewing is not nearly as relaxing as some people claim. Try giving up your television shows for a week, replacing them with other activities.  You will most likely find that you are better rested, happier and less stressed at the end of that week.
~

- Don’t forget to relax.  No human being is equipped to function in constant stress mode.  It is unhealthy to have a life filled with all work and no play.  Some of the most common health problems that result when a person doesn’t relax enough include high blood pressure, stomach ulcers and other digestive disorders.  Be sure to take some time out for yourself at least once a week, preferably once a day.  This can help to prevent, and in some cases eliminate, these chronic health problems.
~

- Consider biofeedback therapy.  If you are experiencing health problems and cannot seem to find the source, a biofeedback therapist will monitor your body and how it reacts to daily activities in order to find out where it is not performing optimally. In this treatment, you would wear a monitor that actually records how your body is reacting while it is turned on.  If you are an athlete suffering from muscle problems, you might want to consider this treatment to determine whether you are properly resting your muscles between activities.
~

- Improve your sleeping habits.  One of the best things that everyone can do to improve their well-being is to moderate their sleeping patterns.  Unfortunately, poor sleep is a habit learned by nearly everyone during the teenage years.  It is critical to allow your body the time it needs to wind down and relax so that you can be rejuvenated.  If you feel tired during the day, when you awaken in the morning or exhausted before bedtime it is a sign that you are not getting the right amount of sleep.  This could be too much, or too little.  Try setting aside eight hours for sleep each night, getting into bed no less than half an hour prior to the time that you want to be asleep.  If you do this for a few weeks, you will find positive improvements in your overall health and productivity.
~

- Breathe mindfully.  The process of mindful breathing is a form of meditation; however it is also a great way to get more oxygen into your blood and tissues.  If you start right now and pay attention to how you are breathing, it is more than likely that you will find yourself breathing quite shallowly.  This is not a healthy breathing pattern. You can start out by just inhaling completely and then slowly exhaling completely.  If you take one minute to just do this focused breathing each day, you will find that you feel better during that minute.  And, you will catch yourself paying attention to your breathing several times throughout the day.  If you are stressed or tired, take a minute out of your day to breathe mindfully.
~

- Try reflexology.  Reflexology is a technique of applying pressure to and stretching the hands and feet in order to send nerve messages to other parts of the body.  Through the careful application of reflexology, practitioners can affect the health of various organs and parts of the body.  There are many resources available if you would like to learn more about the practice of reflexology.
~

- Relieve pain with acupuncture.  Acupuncture is an age old healing technique used to stimulate nerve endings and to promote healing from within. Overall, the goal of an acupuncturist is to restore well being and good health to the whole body. If you are currently experiencing chronic pain, consider consulting a therapist to see if your pain might be reduced with treatments.

- Meditate for better well being. The basic definition of meditation is to concentrate on some object or thought in order to quiet the mind. There are many different types and styles of meditation; however the one thing that is consistent is that not every technique will work for every person.  Every one can benefit from some type of meditation, take some time to read about different techniques or talk to a holistic healer for more information about what might work for you.
~

- Try Buddhist meditation.  Buddhist meditation deals primarily with the quest for knowledge, and is one of the more popular styles of meditation used in the world today. The premise is that by meditating you are spending some quiet time to improve the state of your mind.  Getting started is as simple as finding a quiet space to relax, taking some deep breaths and letting thoughts enter and pass through your mind without concentrating on any specific thought.
~

- Stop the music when meditating. Just as you would probably accomplish more during a study session without music, the same holds true for meditation. While some people will play music while they meditate, there is a question about whether music serves simply as a distraction. Try turning off the music for a week, and see for yourself if you are able to accomplish more with a quiet atmosphere.
~

- Accept that there is no clear and easy path. Many people spend so much time looking for the easy route that they forget to enjoy the joys of the road.  Changing your perspective will take time, but try to begin thinking of obstacles as stepping-stones along the path of your life.
~

- Go to the dentist.  If you have fillings that could possibly contain Mercury, it is a good idea to have those fillings replaced by your dentist.  If you are feeling poorly and cannot explain why, this may be the culprit. Mercury poisoning is slow and often masks itself with symptoms of other health problems.  Your dentist can tell you whether you should consider having any of your fillings replaced.
~

- Be nicer.  Positive energy is contagious.  If you do something nice for someone today, chances are that before the end of the day that person will do something nice for someone else.  Holding the door for someone costs you nothing more than a few seconds out of your day, however if that person is having a bad day it might just be the little pick up needed to put them in a better mood.  Little things mean a lot, and if you are doing nice things for people, you will begin to feel better about yourself.
~

- Avoid clutter.  Clutter is an energy buster.  If your bedroom is cluttered, the energy will not flow as freely as it should and your sleep will be affected in a negative way.  Not only that, but clutter is frustrating, because it often keeps you from finding something that you need in a few seconds. Take the time to eliminate clutter, but start small with one area at a time. Otherwise, you risk overwhelming yourself with a lot of work.
~

- Be gracious.  Gratitude is extremely powerful, and remembering to say thank you for even the littlest things can be a powerful positive change. Expressing gratitude is much more pleasant than expressing frustration, and it will eventually begin to replace the negative habit of complaining that we all get into some times.
~

- Consider a peroxide bath.  Hydrogen peroxide is known for being a highly effective astringent that removes toxins, or dirt, from scrapes and cuts.  It can do the same thing for the rest of the body as well.  Simply add a quart of peroxide to your hot bath and soak for a few minutes to check for tolerance.  If you don’t have any irritation that does not stop quickly, add a second quart and soak for about ten minutes.  The peroxide will pull toxins from your skin and help you to flush toxins better afterwards.

Often there is something deeper that is causing you anxiety, and through this technique you are likely to discover what that something is. The premise is to let go of pain and to allow thoughts to flow freely.  By trying to suppress feelings and control thoughts, you are actually doing your body more harm than good.

Do this as soon as you can after waking, so that you make sure to get the essence of your dreams.  Pay attention to patterns, serial dreams and symbols that seem to reappear often.  Find out what these things represent to you by meditating on the symbol or theme, or look them up in a dream dictionary for the generally accepted explanation. While this may not represent the meaning for you, it will give you a place to start.
~

- Study your hands to remember your dreams. If you are experiencing personal conflicts, feeling stressed or would just like to gain a new level of access to your inner thoughts, consider learning to control your dreams to make them work for you.  By concentrating on your hands several times throughout the day, asking yourself if you are dreaming, you will start to remember to look at your hands while dreaming. If you can control your hands in your dreams, you will already be able to change the course of your dreams and to play an interactive part.  This can include bringing specific people into your dreams, or even asking specific people to leave them.  Try this technique, and you will be amazed the first time that you are dreaming, and realize that you are actually able to do more than just watch what is happening.

If you suffer from teen or adult acne, it might be worth trying a sulfur based cream specially formulated to work on skin lesions.  Sulfur is a naturally occurring substance in the body, and therefore it is completely safe.  There are a number of conditions that can be helped by sulfur, in addition to acne. These include liver damage, shortness of breath, pink eye and lactose intolerance.
